Damp soil

During the pre-purchase building inspection  on this residential house it was determined that the external soil levels were higher than the subfloor area and was allowing water to pond in the subfloor at the footings.

There was nowhere else for the water to escape.

The building inspector noted that a drain had been started but not completed.

This area provides may be enticement for the termites and a good pest maintenance program will need to be maintained.
