Identifying a renovation

By looking inside a linen cupboard you can usually tell if the house has been renovated since originally built.
Viewing the inside of linen cupboards will always reveal the original construction of a dwelling. 
If the interior construction is totally dis-similar, then a renovation is likely to have taken place since first complianced.
