Scorched Wall

This timber kitchen looks cute but could have become a potential house fire. 

The scorched paneling (especially with a fat fire) wouldn't take too long to get a grip and flare up.

Our building inspector recommends a fire blanket or fire extinguisher be kept in or very accessible to the kitchen in case of emergency.

This is a health and safety issue.

A non combustible material splashback will need to be installed.
