Company profile
PRO-CHECK® Building Services was conceived when my eldest daughter bought her first home and had a professional building inspection done by another company. When she asked me to explain the report to her I realised that my daughter (a teacher who is used to writing reports) could not understand the outcomes in the report thus, unable to use the information to assist in the potential purchase of the property. That was the catalyst that propelled me from active building into becoming a building inspector. When I did the pre-purchase inspection course I took the said document and passed it on to the lecturer. He read it and it was duly handed around to all the other building inspectors and the result was unanimous, the document failed to inform the pre-purchase customer of the detail that was necessary to make an informed decision.
So the Pro-Check® philosophy of great customer service was born.
Our building inspectors are trained on the basis that the building report must be detailed and descriptive enough for anyone to understand.
We take photos and will include some in your report to help you to see what we saw in our building inspection.
You may call our building inspectors to discuss anything that you do not understand in the building report.
One call does it all.
Let our fingers do the organising for you.
We will liaise between owners, agents and pest management contractors and a pool inspector if your require one, to organise the building and pest inspection at a time to suit you. We would like to meet you so we encourage you to join us on site and we can discuss items of interest as we inspect your home. We try our very best to ensure you get the best service and quality with prompt reports.
THERE IS NO CHECK LIKE PRO-CHECK®

Frequently Asked Questions:
How much does it cost? Not as much as buying the wrong house.
How long does it take? ... As long as is necessary to come to a conclusion about the property we are inspecting.
What is a building inspection ?... We do a visual inspection of the interior and exterior of the property. For example, inside the building inspector will check the condition of ceiling, walls, floors, doors, windows and kitchen cabinets. Outside the building inspector will check the bricks, cladding, lintels, windows, flashings, deck, veranda's stairs and handrails. The building inspector will go into and onto the roof if access permits. The site including driveways, surface drainage and fencing and any other structures within 30m of the home including sheds and cubby houses.
Our building inspections are very hands on. If your building inspector arrives on site with grubby knees and cobwebs and dust over his back, it's not because he doesn't care about how he dresses, but rather that he is passionate about checking the under floor on his knees and crawling through trusses in the roof to check out the effectiveness of the water proofing.
For a small investment you get amazing interest and unbelievable returns.
Another frequently asked question is why don't you do your own pest inspections?
Well we do offer the service with reputable independent contractors who are experts in their own field. You can't beat experience like that.
Also the time involved. The building inspection is usually around 90-180mins and the pest inspection often takes the same amount of time with the companies that we use. Doing them simultaneously makes sense. Plus 4 eyes are better at finding things.
